This client has opened up a new position for a senior analyst, the main intention being to support the Chief Statistician in ensuring the accuracy of core results and conducting statistical analyses. The company is situated in Melbourne but operates across several countries.
Having gained this position you will be placed within the Statistics area, alongside the Marketing Sciences department. Through your tasks you will reinforce and strengthen brand positioning in areas of Excellence, Innovation and Insights.
Your duties will include:
• Running logic, consistence and outlier checks on tabular data
• Identifying and making recommendations for improvements in processing, validating and quality assurance of data / results
• Working closely with the Chief Statistician and Data Processing teams
• Undertaking statistical analyses
• Undertaking value-adding analyses
• Identifying and running statistical analyses and sense-checking of results
• Providing statistical services concerning other survey programs as required
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
• Degree level qualification with statistics component
• Project management and organisational skills including attention to detail
• Experience in preparing reports and other documentation
• Research experience using quantitative methods
Desirable:
• Expertise in one or more advanced area of statistics
• Experience and aptitude for ensuring quality improvement within a survey research context
Critical Competencies:
• Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Work, Excel, Powerpoint and SPSS
• Numerate
• An understanding of statistics and an ability to analyse data
